Wake5: Math Alarm ("Wake5") is developed by BC Labs. This policy explains how Wake5 handles app data and Android system permissions.
2. Data stored on your device
Wake5 stores only the data required to operate on your device, including alarm times, labels, repeat days, enabled states, active alarm and challenge states, and app preferences. Wake5 does not transmit this data to BC Labs or third-party servers.
3. Data collection and sharing
Wake5 does not collect or share personal data, device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, health data, or usage activity. Wake5 has no account system, advertising or analytics SDKs, background crash reporting, or payment functionality.
4. Android permissions and features
- Exact alarms: Triggers alarms at the times scheduled by the user.
- Notifications and full-screen notifications: Displays alarm alerts and the challenge screen, including over the lock screen.
- Foreground service and wake lock: Maintains the required alert flow while an alarm round is active.
- Vibration: Provides haptic alerts when the device is silent or vibration is needed.
- Boot completed: Restores enabled alarm schedules after the device restarts.
These permissions are used only for Wake5 alarm functionality and are not used to identify, profile, or track users.
5. Google Play and system services
Wake5 is distributed through Google Play. Google Play or Android may process installation, update, security, and device compatibility data under their own policies. This processing is controlled by Google and is not data collected by Wake5.
6. Data retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete an alarm, clear Wake5 app data, or uninstall Wake5. Deleting an alarm also cancels its related schedule and clears its unfinished alarm state. BC Labs does not hold server-side Wake5 user data, so there is no separate server data deletion request to submit.
7. Children's privacy
Wake5 is not directed specifically to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children or other users.
8. Security
Wake5 keeps app data on the device. Users should protect their devices with screen locking, operating system updates, and other Android security features.
9. Changes to this policy
BC Labs will update this page and its effective date if Wake5 features or data practices change.
